MoodShape

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using MoodShape (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

MoodShape is a local-first nightly mood journal. Core features include:

• Nightly Recording:A 30-second voice capture, analysed on-device to generate a unique “mood crystal” visual for that day.
• On-Device Transcription: Optional speech-to-text transcription of your recordings.
• History Timeline: A scrubbable timeline of past moods with audio playback.
• Export: Export a single recording or your full history as a ZIP archive via the system share sheet.
• Sharing:Share a single mood as an image containing a QR code and link, which recreates that mood's visual for the recipient.

The App has no accounts, no servers, and no cloud sync — all data is stored locally on your device.

3. Your Content

Your recordings, transcripts, and generated mood data belong to you and remain on your device. We do not access, store, or have any visibility into your content. You are solely responsible for what you record and for anything you choose to export or share using the App's built-in features.

4. Sharing Feature

When you use the share feature, the App generates an image and link encoding an abstract representation of that mood's visual and its timestamp — no audio, transcript, or personal information is included. You are responsible for who you share this image or link with. MoodShape does not track or moderate shared content.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

• Use the App only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App.
• Not use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair the App.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any errors will be corrected.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, MOODSHAPE AND ITS CREATORS, AFFILIATES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS (AUD $100).

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will indicate material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
