1. INTRODUCTION
This Privacy Policy outlines how Aeterna collects, uses, protects, and handles your personal information and the digital artifacts you upload. We recognize the profoundly sensitive nature of grief technology and are committed to implementing high standards of data isolation and security.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
- 2.1 Account Information: Name, email address, and authentication credentials (managed securely via Supabase Auth).
- 2.2 Uploaded Artifacts (User Content): Images (avatars and chat attachments), audio data (voice samples uploaded for vocal synthesis), and text data (personality traits, core memories, and historical chat transcripts used to construct Sanctuary prompts).
- 2.3 Payment Information: Subscription status and token balances. We do not process or store your credit card information directly.
- 2.4 Usage Data: Interaction logs, timestamps, and crash reports.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your data strictly to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain your digital sanctuaries.
- Process chat interactions through LLMs to generate contextual responses.
- Synthesize voice models based purely on the audio samples you provide.
- Manage billing, subscriptions, and daily token allocations.
4. DATA SHARING AND THIRD-PARTY PROCESSORS
We do not sell your personal data. We share necessary data strictly with infrastructure partners to operate the Service:
- Supabase: Encrypted database storage, RLS enforcement, and isolated media buckets.
- DeepSeek (or other LLM providers): Chat prompts and persona context are sent via API for real-time inference.
- RevenueCat: Subscription state management.
5. DATA SECURITY AND ISOLATION
We implement stringent Row Level Security (RLS) policies. Uploaded voice samples and private chat images are stored in private, isolated storage buckets. Temporary media URLs are generated on-demand with strict expiration constraints.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION (YOUR RIGHTS)
You retain control over your digital artifacts. Soft deletion can archive a sanctuary from active view, while hard deletion can permanently remove your account, associated sanctuaries, chat histories, and voice samples. If you are covered by GDPR or CCPA, you may access, rectify, or erase your personal data at any time.
7. BIOMETRIC INFORMATION PRIVACY
Audio data uploaded for voice synthesis is classified as highly sensitive biometric data. It is processed solely for generating the specific vocal imprint for your private sanctuary and is never shared across users or used for secondary commercial analysis.
